Sometimes, life can be unpredictable and out of our control. During times of chaos, I aim to help my clients find hope, joy, and humor; with a renewed enthusiasm for life.  My goal is to create a safe place for you to land and make meaning of the hardships you encounter. I believe people are resilient and have the capability for healing and growth, they often just need support uncovering their strength within.

That is where I come in. I specialize in working with trauma, grief and bereavement, anxiety and depression, life transitions, Autism Spectrum Disorders, LGBTQ+ Issues and Problematic Sexual Behavior (ages 6-15). I utilize an integrated approach to meet the needs of my clients. I am Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Certified. As well as trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Play Therapy.

My clinical background is primarily working with young adults, children, and adolescents and their caregivers following significant trauma. Every behavior meets a need, and through collaboration, we can find the source of undesirable or unwanted behaviors and find positive ones to replace them with.  In therapy, I am warm and inviting while also challenging negative beliefs about oneself or the world. My job is not to judge, rather provide safety for vulnerability.  I will meet you where you are and join your team while helping guide you along your quest for healing.

When not in session, I enjoy being outside with my pup Ollie, working out, and spending time with friends and family.

Life has dealt you some difficult blows. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding them, you find yourself either being paralyzed by them or racing to “move on” and “get over it”. Either way, you long for healing, growth, and a new journey. Maybe you find yourself here because nothing else has worked. Maybe there is just a small thread of hope that brought you here...

That's where I come in. I firmly believe that the power to heal, exists within you and my role is journeying alongside you to get there. I specialize in populations who have experienced trauma, difficult life transitions, depression, anxiety, family of origin issues, and grief and loss. I use an integrated approach, most notably methods of Eye Movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-focused- cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to not only address the reactions this trauma is causing you but to aid you in digging out the root and taking control of your life again.

I will meet you where you are, regardless of what that looks like. I believe in the uniqueness of each person and begin the process with a blank slate, collaborating alongside you to color in our relationship as it works best for you.  I am direct, honest, and challenging. I want you to grow and heal, and I understand that process is hard. I am compassionate and empathetic; finding humor in things can be salve to the soul. My hope is that you always feel warm and safe when you are here.

When I’m not in session. you can usually find me- searching for my next excuse to travel with my husband, cooking something delicious, or trying to wrangle our rambunctious and adorable puppy!
